Hi so wow. Wow. It’s been a long time.

Let me preface this by saying that I never really intended my November hiatus to continue over into a much, much longer hiatus where I basically gave up my blog forever. I really did plan on being gone for Nanowrimo (which didn’t work out, because of reasons) but then stuff happened. I got a job that took up a lot of my time, my laptop broke and wasn’t able to be replaced for a couple of months, and I started going through bouts of really bad sickness (throwing up, fever, congestion, etc.) And every outlet of my social life, from tumblr to texting to going out and interacting with human beings, kind of fell by the wayside.

By the time things seemed to even out some- I replaced my laptop, started feeling a little better, and ended up quitting my job because of being sexually harassed and other reasons- and I had time to come back to tumblr… well, I honestly didn’t want to. I made a post a while back, a throwaway post that was completely untagged. It got somewhere over ten thousand notes, much more attention than I ever thought it would get. And a lot of people seemed pretty angry about the post. I got called a reverse-racist and a misandrist and a bunch of other shit, and I received alotof messages basically telling me how much I sucked. And I didn’t feel like dealing with it, so I just stopped checking tumblr altogether.

This isn’t the first time this shit has happened. First it was the Teen Wolf fandom by way of the Boyd post, which caused me to take my first hiatus.

I kind of feel like tumblr is a double-edged sword for me at this point. When I try to get personal or express political and social opinions, I get attacked for being a “social justice blogger.” When I just blog about fandom and ships and happy sterek kisses, I get attacked for NOT caring enough about social justice.

At this point I think I’ve decided that while I do want to come back, I seriously doubt that I’ll be coming back to this blog. Within the next few days, I’ll probably put together my shiny new blog, and refollow a bunch of people. I’ll shoot you guys a message, letting you know that it’s me, in case you want to refollow.

For now, I’m gonna go sift through my messages and try to respond to some of them that aren’t people being douches.
